Armed Forces Community Service (AFCS) offers a comprehensive array of programs and services dedicated to maintaining the readiness of Servicemembers, Families and communities by fostering self-reliance, resilience, and stability. It is the commander’s principal Family readiness agency, providing comprehensive, coordinated and responsive services that support readiness of Soldiers, civilian employees and
their Families during peace and war.

AFCS is customer-driven, proactive, and prevention-oriented. It offers integrated services oriented to the needs of the Yakima Training Center community and provides Family members with the necessary information, tools and resources to connect with the Army and to benefit from their many programs.

AFCS assistance is available for:

   ●  All active duty and retired military personnel and their Family members;
   ●  Members of the Army National Guard, U.S. Army Reserve, and all other U.S. Military Reserve Components -when on active duty, and their Family members;
   ●  Army appropriated fund and non-appropriated fund employees and their Family members;
   ●  Family members of prisoners of war or personnel missing in action; and,
   ●  Surviving Family members of military personnel.
